ABOUT OUR FACILITY:
The Skunk Bottom Mud Bog event site features a 170-foot long single lane pit with 280 feet of shutdown area. The mud is the consistency of chocolate pudding and is about 2 feet deep. Our unique pit irrigation system allows constant pit grooming right up to event time. Improvement of the pit midday is no problem--we simply add water and blend the mud using our own Bog Jogger device.
Excavating has been done to make our shutdown area safer and longer for our full-pass competitors, with less of a bump when coming out of the pit. We have thinned out the mud at the starting line, with the pit progressively getting deeper to approximately 2 feet. The deep mud runs from about mid-pit to the finish line. This will give the fans more excitement and longer passes to enjoy watching during the event.
Designated staging and return lanes, race vehicle wash-off area, ample parking for drivers' rigs, and grassy, shaded work areas for our racers are just some of the well-thought-out features that keep our fast friends coming in from the local area, and from far away.
The Skunk Bottom Mud Bog is a family-oriented event complex with a park-like atmosphere that appeals to spectators and competitors alike. The spectator viewing area is a sloped, amphitheater-style grassy hillside with easy viewing for spectators. The concession stand is available to keep our guests happy and energized at reasonable prices. Gates open at 8 AM, racing is at noon. Feel free to bring chairs or a blanket for seating comfort. New this year--we have some bleachers for better viewing of the mud pit.
Overnight camping (no hook-up) is available upon prior request. Contact track manager for details. There are restrooms with hot and cold running water, refreshment concessions, ample parking, and easy access from Route 22. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. And please spread the word to other family and friends who love our sport! For more information on our location and for directions, please click here.

Something interesting is always happening on any given race day. Our loyal sponsors are so generous with donations of merchandise that we typically call out numbers for door prizes all afternoon; this makes for a steady stream of people visiting the tower to collect some really cool gifts.
Competitors who race at our facility are required to join our Skunk Bottom Mud Bog Competitors Association for an annual fee of $10. This fee is good for the entire racing season, and is applied directly toward the insurance we carry to hold these events (we receive no help with insurance from any other outside organization, as so many other facilities are fortunate to do).
